Ne1 here getting alot of dropped calls? I have AT&T and it has been happening more frequently as of late. Why does this happen? Is there a way to fix this other than dropping AT&T? My contract with them wont be up for another year.

If I had known this was going to be a problem I probably would not have bought an iPhone.

Hi,
I've the same problem with Vodafone in the UK on an unlocked/jailbroken iphone. It didn't happen at first but I'm now frequently getting a complete loss of signal for a few seconds and then back to normal (full strength). I had thought it was more to do with Vodafone but now I'm wondering if its the iphone...

When my calls are dumped I hear three tones and then nothing. The call is gone and never comes back.

I have AT&T and an iPhone and I rarely ever drop a call (maybe one every two weeks). I also almost always have a full signal. I have always been very happy with the service and the iPhone.

Same here. I'm on O2 in the UK and I have virtually no disconnections at all.

It doesn't happen every day but it did happen a few times last week. One of the phone calls that I lost last week was a very important one:mad:

I get dropped calls more frequently than I'd like, and often times get frustrated that the iPhone reports inaccurate signal strength. My old phone got comparitive service though, so I think it is an AT&T thing. Not too thrilled with their service.

CeeTee,

This has been happening to me alot this past week as well - virtually every time I was on the phone, the call would drop. Although I don't have an iPhone - I have a Blackjack. I don't know where you are located, but A&T is currently having network outtages in Southern California. The AT&T rep also advised me to make sure to turn off my phone at least once a day for at least 15 secs to allow the SIM card to reset. This is important especially if you are located in an area outside the network assigned to your area code.

The signal strength should not change at all wo u moving. If so, it signals an AT&T/network prob, not the iPhone.
