Is there a thingy I can plug in between the iphone and the earphones that will let me listen to FM/DAB radio stations.

I know there are some available for ipods but I don't want to have to keep unplugging and replugging my handsfree kit in just to receive a call. plus I'm not sure that with the iphones tripple pronged jack that it would be accepted by a normal headphone jack?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I doubt that it would work because the changing of stations was handled by the iPod so even if it was able to plug in the software probably wouldn't read it

The previous Apple "Radio remote" was thought to work, until the iPhone was actually released.

The reason radio isn't supported by the iPhone is because the chips for radio actually used to be included in the iPod (and still are in the iPod classic and iPod Nano) but got removed from iPhone and iPod touch.

Without the chip in it, its lke having an antenna to your television with nowhere to plug it into and then looking at the screen and expecting to see TV on the screen.

Thats why the radio remotes and all that don't work any more :)
