probably been discussed to death.

but i had a 8gb iphone and sold it. it was great, but a bit too big for a phone and mp3 used phone battery when i needed it and 8gb proved too small and main thing - no apps. I bought a HTC touch as its smaller with good battery and zillions of apps.

so the thing is, should I get new 16gb or 32gb 3G iphone in june or just get ipod touch now ?

I wish the ipod touch had bluetooth so I could browse using my phone data !!! (anyone heard about this in an updated model ?) - buts its really small and when it runs out of battery my phone won't. On the other hand having everything in one package is easier during the business day (the HTC Touch is easily saleable, so no issue getting rid of it).

I don't know what to do ........ the ipod touch is beckoning though!

I'd just get the two together. It is a bit big for a phone... the touch is very thin... but we have no idea of the form factor of the new iPhone so... its best just to wait till WWDC to check out the new phone. (no promises it will be announced then though)

The iphone isn't going to get a whole lot smaller.
It's always going to use it's battery to play music/videos. I haven't heard about a solar powered version, but you never know :P
The 3g will probably come in 32g, unless Apple consider it too expensive.
I doubt Apple will open bluetooth enough to browse other devices, and I can't see the iPod getting bluetooth any time soon.
June/July will see apps coming for the iPhone, but what they are: only time will tell.
But I think you've answered your own question. If you want zillions of apps, then stick with the average phone and get an ipod.

I strongly suggest you wait till June to see if the 32gig 3G iPhone comes out.
