Hello!
I have just purchased a new Ipod Touch from the online apple store. Very pleased with it except for one minor detail, it can not sync with outlook 2007!
What I want to do is simple, sync my contacts and calendar on the touch with my outlook 2007.
The problem is that this is simply not working, I can choose "Outlook" in the drop down menus under info in Itunes and it says it syncs but nothing actually happens.
The contacts are a minor problem which I solved by using the windows adress book to sync with instead. This is not something that I am pleased with, but at least it works.
But the calendar problem remains unsolved, it can only sync through outlook. I have tried solving this by uninstalling Itunes and quicktime and remove all COM-plugins in Outlook associated with Itunes, then reboot and reinstall Itunes. This did not work.
The really strange part is that I can sync my Nano (3g) with outlook 2007 without any problems, both contacts and calendar. However Itunes does not give me the option to sync with "Outlook" as the touch do, but rather the Nano syncs with "Microsoft Outlook" Why two different names for the same software? Also, when I sync my nano with outlook, outlook starts automatically if it's not running already.
My computer is an old laptop PC with windows xp.
What can I do to solve this? I really want to have my calendar on the touch.
