Do you think they will stop making web apps once the apps are released?

For example once the AIM App is released they will probably get rid of the tiny buddy web app.

I think they wont becasue they want us to buy the real apps instead of using the free web apps.

Whats your opinion?

They probably won't develop them, but they will probably still be there

Many will include a large amount of web-connection in their apps, as Apple has made that extremely simple, quick and easy.

So say, if I want a program that detects something (or anything) on the web somewhere, it can easily be done.

It seems Apple wants people who learn to make programs to also be able to make web parts to it, as it makes the programs more dynamic.

Are we going to have to pay for apps? I immagine some, but what about AIM, will that be in the "free" section seeing they dont charge?

No one knows for sure. We won't know until Apple officially releases the store and applications.

There will definetly be some free apps. I think some might be like AIM and Facebook and Weatherbug. But I think games and stuff like that will not be free the majority of the time.

Just like sometimes it makes sense to do things through your Browser, rather than a dedicated application on your PC, there will always be places for both.

Web apps are always instantly up to date, the developer just has to change things at the server end. Sometimes that's the better way to go.

Any Apps I make will be free.

And Apple is hoping and will put pressure for a lot of free apps.
