Are you talking talk time or standby time.

Talk time: Up to 8 hours
Standby time: Up to 250 hours
Internet use: Up to 6 hours
Video playback: Up to 7 hours
Audio playback: Up to 24 hours

It really depends on how you use it. I use the phone alot but using wifi and the internet and video draws on the battery more then just using the phone.

Here is an example I got 6 hours of usage time (not standby time) yesterday before the 10% sign came up.

I was would say 4 hours of talk time, 2 hours of internet email and ipod usage.

When I havent used the internet at all I have gotten closer to 8 hours like stated.

If I dont touch the phone at all it can go days without charging.

Check your brightness if your battery is going quickly and back it off a bit, also turn off wifi when you are not using it, that sucks alot of power when its trying to search for available networks.

I have mine set for optimal battery life with Bluetooth off, brightness near zero and wifi on only when I need it. I can usually get at least a day with moderate Internet use (2 hours a day), frequent use of mail (every 10 minutes), and intermittent phone use (hour to hour and a half a day) and my battery rarely goes below 25%

Its important to also consider what time your day is starting. For those of us who wake up at 7am, even moderate use should wear your battery down almost all the way. If you wake up at noon every day you should have no battery issues.
