View Full Version : 'Other' problem on syn

Hi, I have sync my pod repeatedly and no problems although itunes drives me nuts - however - when I did it yesterday it said that it didnt have enough room to syn all I had as 'other' was taking up 5.25GB. There is no 'other' on there, no photos, videos, movies or anything else. It means I dont have enough room for the stuf I do want on there. Any ideas please......................:rolleyes:

That's usually the result of a bad sync. You can try to reset you settings (Settings > General > Reset), but if that doesn't work, you'd have to restore your iPod Touch from iTunes and resync everything...
Settings > General > reset all settings.
Try that first.
If that doesn't work, you should use the next button, restore all data and settings.
That will wipe your iPod but if the stuff is still on your computer, you can sync it back again.

:D Thankyou, after posting the thread thought I would try and download all my audio books onto discs and then delete them so that the itunes wasnt clogged up. Instead of deleting just the section I wanted it proceeded to delete everything in my itune library. Can I just say here THAT I HATE ITUNES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its the only bad thing about my pod which I love.
again will try the advice and thankyou very much. Any chance of help getting my stuff sorted in itunes into audiobook rather than it staying in music. Have followed the advice and it will not move. also it takes me forever to move stuff from windows media import it into itunes. Is it all me ??????????????
