iPhone name in iTunes is .0.00? why?

Just noticed this. When I sync my iPhone against iTunes, i noticed that the name that shows up is .0.00 ?
Why is that? How can I change it to Michelle's Iphone or Fluffy, etc?

I think you can just rename through my computer (explorer) on pc, and it will show up renamed in iTunes, or you can click the iPhone in iTunes and rename.
