I have read the other posts but i cant seem to find the answer I need. I have a paid Hotmail account, if I am not mistaken, then I should be able to set up my hotmail account on the email button on my touch correct? If so how do I find out all my information?

Here are the settings for the pop3 access for hotmail plus users. Keep in mind you have to go into the settings menu, then mail, then add account, then choose other.

Our POP service requires that you use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) with the POP and SMTP connection and use SMTP authentication. This is to ensure that your email address and password are not subject to tampering. The settings are the following:

POP: pop3.live.com (port 995)
SMTP: smtp.live.com (port 25)
Note: make sure you check the box that indicates that your outgoing server requires authentication (in most mail clients this is not checked by default).
Username: your full email address
Password: your Windows Live ID password

Doesn't work for me - is there something I have to do in hotmail? Ipod touch always says:

Cannot Get Mail

The user name or password for ‘pop3.live.com’ is incorrect.

Do you have a paid Hotmail account or a free one? This only works for paid accounts, if I remember correctly..

You can't. Only options are paid ones, using paid Izymail or signing up for a paid Hotmail account.

2. Why does hotmail on teh PC etc still show the messages as new?

Im new to all this, so go easy on me! Thanks!

1. If you set up your izymail account as a imap account then you will be able to see all the folders on your hotmail account although it may take some time to download everything.

2. You can set it up so that it saves the new emails on the server or deletes them after a certain time period. Personally I like to stilll have my emails on my pc so I can view them later and save them to a folder.
