How do I change the weather to show my local area. It keeps showing Cupertino which is obviously were Apple is, but it wont show my local area which is Seattle. The time is correct, the location under clocks is correct and I have gone online and synced a few times and still no change.

When you open Weather there is a small "i" in the lower right hand corner. Tap that info icon and you'll be able to add your own. Its a Mac convention that seems to elude some people.

Are most places in the world available with this utility?
I live in the west midlands, UK- when I get my Touch, will I be able to set the Weather App' to show my local weather conditions- or is this just for the USA?
Cheers,
Ian

Have a look here:
http://uk.weather.yahoo.com/
It usesd Yahoo weather, so chances are if you can find your area on the website, you should on the iPod.

Many thanks. So just to confirm- the Weather App on the Touch uses the Yahoo website for it's data? I clicked on the link above and found my town- so that would indicate that it will be available on the Touch's Weather App?

Yes the weather app works with areas all over the UK. Give me your location and I will let you know if the app finds it.

Many thanks. Could you please try Shrewsbury and Oswestry?

both work no problem. Including the Shrewsbury in Massachuest, no imagination for place names over there. :)

If you had ever been there you'd think it even more of an insult ;)
Actually there is a nice park on the Marlborough side, but the rest is like a dumping grounds for Worcester ...
Oh, as to be on-topic, I love the Weather app!

Thanks for this topic.
I went in and had NO problem changing the city.
I'm VERY impressed how easy everything is on the iTouch.
Just a couple button pushes, I was connected to my wireless network
instantly. Loving my iTouch!!!
