I think you're nuts to be messing with the MAC address, but it's your funeral.
That folder is hidden. However, you can go to the Finder, select Go to Folder... from the Go menu and type in the address... and then you can drop in the files...

It wont let me see that folder finder says folder not found I do have /usr/local/ but not /lib and in /usr/local/ it wont let me add new folder.

THis is the second thread you started about MAC addresses. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish but are you sure that you just don't need to change your IP address to use your Touch?
Why not explain what you are trying to do, then maybe you'll get a better answer/resolution to your issue.

Well my router for unknown reasons blocked my iPod's MAC address so my brother who works for our ISP says to change the address and should work. We don't have no blocking setup and we re-set up the router and still have problems.

Are you sure you're just not having issues with the DHCP like several people have had with their iPod Touches? Typically happens with Linksys routers...

That's not a MAC address issue, that's IP address. What have you done to the touch so far?

Depends on your router as DerekVOF suggested look at the linksys. If that is not what you have look around the forum here for dhcp/ip configurations for some assistance. MAC address is definitely not what you need to be changing.

If it's your router, and you don't have a lot of devices connecting to it, you may way to configure a static IP address for each device. Disable DHCP on your router and assign a static IP address in your Touch when connecting to your router. By default it should be 192.168.1.1## where the last two digits are between 00 and 49. Each device must have a unique IP.
