Europe or US Model?

Just wondering is it possible to tell if you have a europe or US version of the ipod touch by the Model and serial number?

I bought one of ebay but have no idea what model it is? if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

if you have a europe model if you could give precise details of what comes in the box so i can compare it. Thanks in advance. Neil.

As far as I'm aware there are no differences at all. It may be possible to tell where the unit was destined for but in terms of the intervals, software and extras in the box I believe they are identical.

well, not really. the only way to tell is by listening to the volume, since EU models have a lower volume than US models.

but since they are identical hardware and everything, does it matter?

Ok, well my ipod sounds identical to my old 4th generation ipod so i'm assuming it is a US version. Just wondering do you own an ipod with the eu volume limit? I was wondering what the sound quality is like? is it a significant change to the volume.
