Other Status Very High

Hey,

I have recently had to change my ipod touch, (i am on number three at the moment) and as I plugged it in this morning and looked at the status bar, My Music has gone but i found the solution to that and just put it back on again, but my 'other' bar (the orange one) and it was worryingly high (1.46gb) and still is.

Ii have deleted my old email and some contacts and it still hasn't decreased what else can I do to get it lower?

please reply ASAP.

It sounds to me like you iPod touch got confused and "moved" all your music under the other stuff.....
Can I ask you what was the solution you found for recovering all thje lost music?

I would suggest in any case, to restor your iPod and then re-sync it.

You mean on your iTunes Library, right?
That would confirm what I think; basically your iPod never lost your music it just got messed up and thought that all your music was "other" stuff, so you could no longer see it under music but ended up with more than 1 Gig of other stuff.

Definitely a restore of your iPod should solve the problem, even though after that you'll have to re-load your music to the iPod once again, but all least it will free up your other space.
