Not a major problem, but I've noticed that in Settings > General > Date & Time, the 24-Hour Time option is greyed out, meaning I can't switch to a 12 hour clock. Any ideas why?

I believe it's based on regional settings. If you switch to U.S., it should work. Not sure why that is...

That seems to make no sense at all. I'm in the US though and I have that option, so I would try that out.

Yeah, I know it makes no sense. But this isn't the first time someone from England has posted the same error. I'm just passing on what I've seen...

Thanks for that - I'll try your suggestion. Sounds like a bug somewhere.

I am using a 1.1.4 Jailbroken touch, Timezone set to London and 24-Hour Time is available. Is Timezone support "on"?

I don't think it's based on the timezone, but rather on the Regional settings. Check to see if your Regional settings are set to the UK or the US, under the "International" settings menu.

Weird! Just went into Region Format as suggested, and set United States as default, rather than UK where I live, and I can now set 24-Hour Time off, to display a 12-Hour clock. Why should Apple assume that all of us in the UK still operate to a 24-Hour clock on our sundials:confused:
Anyway, thanks to DerekVOF and jhollington for the advice.

Bugger. Messed about with mine changing the region format to US from UK and back and now the the bloody 24 hour format switch is greyed (note the spelling) out. Oh well better look my green card out to move to the US.
Lesson learned if it is working leave it alone!
