does it matter about my firmware number?

i got my ipod touch in december... 1.1.1 firmware.
then i jailbreaked it and it worked fineee
then i decided to upgrade to 1.1.2 and tried the jailbreak on that but it totally screwed up my ipod
so even now... april... im on 1.1.1 firmware.
does it matter? cuz my ipod works perfectly well.
i noticed on another forum that you can get colored keyboards for 1.1.3 /1.1.4 so am i missing out on a lot?

colored keyboards? lol, no, and seriously: who would want that? :D

but you should still upgrade. newer firmwares have lots of bugfixes and other improvements, and in late june the 2.0 firmware is released with the apple appstore on it.

I am not going to hold your hand in this, but no ZiPhone will not put you on 1.1.4 You need to uprgade the firmware via itunes to 1.1.4 The use ZiPhone 3.0 to jailbreak it, but use the search this topic is pretty much covered everywhere....


I use a red keyboard by the way, got it from a repo at ipodtouchfans, very sweet.

iv done it like 3 times but i just had a mindblank :P
ughh i HATE jailbreaking it takes forever cuz my computer is so slow
and my itunes is on my laptop which my brother takes to school... so i cant do it until he gets a new laptop :(
