I'm very fervent to a new firmware for v3 iPod.

Bugs like crashing and poping between tracks are unacceptable for a $300~500 piece of hardware.

I thought they would release the fix very soon but after waiting for a month I'm slowly reconsidering it.

Do any of you know when Apple is releasing a new firmware for v3 iPods?

Well accord to many users here...

Poping and frequent crashes are one of its common issues.

What firmware version do you have?

I had to reset my iPod for the first time since I got it (a week). I started to play music from coming out of sleep, and it didn't give me any audio.

It seems that Apple has promised a firmware update sometime in June to activate the USB2 feature. Perhaps it may be released before this month ends? After all, with Apple, you never really know until they release the information.

End of June..

Hopefully they will..

FYI: 2.0 is the default firmware for 3rd gen iPods.
