itouch can't find server

my itouch is working perfectly now except that when i try to use the safari it says: Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server. my ipod is connected to a wireless network that works and it appears connected on the computer that manages the wirless network. i put the network password correctly and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong.. help please?

What type of router are you using? Do your other internet-based applications work? Have you tried forgetting the network and connecting back to it?

since I updated to 1.1.4, wifi reaction is slower than before. when you turn it on, it was supposed to get signals quickly. but 6 out of 10 situation after 1.1.4, it is not faster to get signals. I don't know why. Apple must fix this problem soon. safari still crashes frequently.
