When I am on Safari with my iPod Touch the bottom starts to heat up. I know when you put a lot of songs in it, iybahould get kind of hot on the bottom but is it normal on Safari?

I've never noticed that happening for me. It's only ever got hot after a long sync. Other than that, there's no point I've noticed excess heat from the device on Safari, or any other application/use.
the processor is near the bottom. i have never experienced heat in my iPod before, but it may be because of a process-intensive function.
(i know where the processor is cos i pulled my first one apart - it actually worked when i put it together again... all excpet wifi, as I had moved the antenna away from the internal workings)

Must be fun to dissect them :) I've noticed the processor heating up with certain games (usually the emulators) that use a fair amount of processor power. I don't think it's too unusual if used for a period of time. Mine stays fairly warm when I leave it running PocketTouch all the time...
I can't find PocketTouch on installer, how do you get it?
And yeah, it was fun... till I realised my wifi didn't work. :(
But found a way to get it in under warranty without lying
"My wifi stopped working" - worked a charm :D
Got a new one through it :D
