My iPhone seems to be causing static interference with other electronics. This is with wi-fi turned off.

At work, when I am listening to internet radio over my computer, I occassionally hear unusual static. One of the speakers with within a foot of where I normally set my phone. I normally set it on top of or next to my closed laptop (using an external monitor).

Yesterday in my car, I had the iPhone in a cup holder about a foot from the radio and I was getting static which decreased when I moved the iPhone further away.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Thank you
David

Yes this is normal with most cellular deivces, Blackberry's, Motorolas, etc....I work on a Film Lot in Los Angeles, they make us take our cells out before enteritng the studio for taping due to interference, and we have shielded equipment!

But this is normal, buy shielded equipment....thats the only option I have....

And it is not caused by wifi, but the cellular signal itself
