Just bought refurb iPhone

I was so happy! but, here is a problem...

Whenever I try Youtube, my iPhone seems to load Youtube forever and just goes back to main screen. (I could get in Youtube, but it doesn't display Feature video list and such).

BTW, it was already semi-activated (I could access all menus right out of box). Its firmware version is 1.0.2, but I don't thnk that's the problem.

I bought it instead of iPod Touch...refurb iPhone was only $250..so it was cheaper than iPod Touch.

I googled this issue, but only people who used unlock/jailbreak methods had this kind of problem. But, I didn't do anything like that.

Anyone have theory(?) or ideas about this?

You might want to try this. Restore your iPhone. This should install 1.1.4 and take you back to the activation screen. Once that is done, reactivate through iTunes if you have a iPhone plan. If not, use ziphone and activate. This will leave you with an activated and up to date iPhone.

on a side note, did you pay $250 for the 8gb? Kind of a dumb question but just confirming.

Mine came with 1.0.2. Once I upgraded to 1.1.4, I could no longer use it without activating it. :( I'll be porting my number to AT&T later this week. :)

I was with Sprint. My Sprint phone got great reception at work (lots of concrete and steel), but my iPhone is lucky to get one bar. Outdoors, of course, it is fine. :(
