Hi

I've had my 8GB iPod Touch for a few weeks now, and I love it to pieces.

It works perfectly, except occasionally when I wake it from a sleep, the screen just goes totally white. I'd say this happens roughly 1 out of 10 times when I wake it (by pressing either Home or Sleep/Wake).

It does not affect the performance of the Touch in any way, as far as I can tell. But I do have to press sleep/wake again to send it back to sleep to get rid of the white screen; then wake it again, and it will wake up fine.

Is this anything to worry about? It doesn't really irritate me that much but if there is an easy way to fix it then that'd be great.

Thanks for any help

did you try restoring it through itunes? sounds like some software failure to me, I think a restore should get rid of that.

I've tried restoring it by holding down sleep/wake and home until the Apple logo appears, but to no avail.

Will restoring it through iTunes erase all my data?

Holding down the sleep/wake and home button is RESTARTING not RESTORING. Apple, oranges.

Restore - plug your iPod Touch into your computer. Go to iTunes. Select your iPod Touch from under the Devices list on the left. Click on the "Restore" button in the Summary window. And yes it will delete all your data on your iPod Touch.
