How do you fast forward through parts of a podcast while listening to it on an iphone?

tap once on your screen while playing. then either tap and hold the forward/backward icons on the screen (next to the play/pause icon) or you drag the slider on top of the screen to a specific position.
I would use the slider to get in the general area of where you want to go and afterwards use the forward/backward icons to fine-tune your position.
