Backlight

Does anybody know how to keep the screen from dimming and then disappearing? When at work, I'd like to have the screen remain on to see what's playing. On my old MP3, there was an option to leave the backlight always on.

Anyone know how to do this?

go to settings>general and set auto-lock to never :-)

Thanks for making me feel so stupid lol! I was looking for something that had to do with the backlight setting and didn't even think to check for auto-lock!

Thanks a ton for answering this question (even 4 months earlier)! I'd been using my new Touch in the car on the same TransPod I used for 2 minis, 2 nanos, a Photo, a Video, and a Classic, and it was driving me INSANE that I couldn't figure out how to make the backlight stay on when it was so easy on all of the other models. This makes me feel a lot better about buying a new toy that I didn't especially need (but really, really wanted :cool: ).
