Hi

We have just learnt that my wifes 3 month old Itouch which died is to be replace with another unit.

We purchases the software upgrade (ie email, weather....) so how do we go about getting that reloaded or should it come with this on?

Also do they swap this with a similar age second hand one? If so will the put a new case on it?

Thanks David

There's probably a few ways you could try getting the iPod applications back on the Touch.

You can try restoring the iTunes backup of the old iPod to the new unit.

If that doesn't work, contact iTunes support. They can add the Applications to your iTunes store account, and then all you have to do is re-download the applications (free of charge), and they should be added to the Touch when you sync.

They may just give you an iPod Touch with the applications. I'm not certain. If not, as samuelk said, I'm sure they'd let you redownload if needed.

As for the case, I doubt it - usually they indicate that when you send in your product for repair/replacement to not include anything extra (no headphone, charger, cables, etc.)

Thanks

So looks like ill be able to get the apps back (one way or another without having to pay).

Re the case I was referring to the actual physical case of the touch - I wondered if that would be "as new" from an external perspective or one from a 3 month old touch?
