I've recently bought a MAC and need to reformat my iPod Touch as I was previously using a PC. Is there a way of transferring the January software update (which I bought) from my old PC to the MAC?

Not sure if you can just transfer to the file from one computer to another. With all the DRM stuff that Apple has on their music, I wouldn't be surprised. I know the file is somewhere on the PC & Mac - just haven't heard of anyone moving it between the two...
Worst case, just ping Apple and they should let you download the authorization key to your Mac so you can get the applications again.
