it seems that my ipod touch loses power when i turn it off because the next day the battery is a lot lower than before. but if i leave it on hold the whole night i notice almost no change in battery. should i turn it off anyway or is it ok to leave on all night, like the iphone?

I think that if you have wifi enabled, the ipod continuously updates your mail and whatnot. So I guess you have two options, turn it off with the red slider or just turn your wifi off. Hope that helps.

Its better to just leave it on in sleep mode because it uses up a lot of battery to just switch it on and off again.

if it freezes, is there anyway to reboot it manually?

Hold both buttons until you get the Apple.

I have noticed that when I turn mine on, the battery indicator says its a lot lower than it really is because after a few minutes it will be higher than when I turned it on. That might be what is happening to yours when you turn it on.

Almost all my freezes are from WiFi log-on issues (I assume passwords, but I have no idea). Rebooting the router _always_ clears the problem.
(I use WAP2 and have an UMA phone which uses the same WiFi.)
