I just bought a new Iphone and used it this morning on my way to work. I ride a motorcycle so I listen to music from one ear while riding. The problem is i used my iphone with the built headphones that came with it. During my ride while listening to music the sound just stopped every now and then but nothing else. So i stopped and noticed the phone had dialed several times. So i moved the ear piece hopefully it was not hitting the switch but still later it dialed a again. It did this on and off the entire ride. It seemed when I started going faster when the sound was higher it would dial. I thought their was no voice dial so I am not sure what the problem is. Is their anyway to turn this off?I had a total of 34 calls to my wife this morning. please any advice how to disable this or what is causing it would be great.

well, the most obvious answer would be that you didn't turn the screen of and so you tapped on the screen accidentally with your jacket or wherever you kept it. are you sure the iphone was asleep (= you pressed the button on top of the iphone).
there is no such thing as voicedialing. and the phone doesn't dial by itself, it only dials when you tap the screen in some way, so I guess the screen was just not turned off.

No I had stopped to make sure it was off because I did not hear any music. I made sure I hit the button on top to turn off the screen.

Also when I stopped and pulled the iphone out of my jacket I had to hit the slide key to see anything.

mh that is pretty strange considering that there is absolutly no way to dial without the screen ... only thing I could imagine is that your wife tried to call you and somehow you accidentally pressed the little mic on the iphone headphones (which denies or accepts a call).
if you can be sure that is not the case either then the only explanation would be that your touch recognizes touches even though it is off, which is kind of impossible since the software handles that and the software obviously recognizes if you turn off the screen since you have to slide the slider to unlock it.

Just went out for lunch on the bike and it did it again. This time i maid sure everythign was locked and nothing was hitting it or the switch on the headphones. Every time I get past 35 mph it pauses the music and calls. Almost like voice dial (which is not an option that we know of).

I would really doubt that it is related to your speed. you have the iphone in your jacket or somewhere, don't you? so how should it know that?
the only thing i could think of is, that at this speed, the accelerometer is somehow activated, but how should that be linkd to the phone dialing?
really strange, I would get the phone checked at an apple store.

Mu iPhone does the same thing. It has happened several times recently. In each case it autodials the LAST number I had dialed and it does it even though the keyboard is locked. Once I happened to be holding the phone still, with nothing touching the keyboard. I watched it as it came on and dialed a number.
