I have a Gmail account synced with both my Tiger Mail and iPod Touch.
When I delete an email from my computer it is removed from my HDD and stays listed as new online. This used to work: my computer knew which messages I had already downloaded and only downloaded the latest ones. The mail was always archived online.
Now with my iPod Touch, I have run into a problem. When I delete my messages from the Mac they remain listed as new on the Gmail account. Then, when I go to get my mail on my iPod it downloads all the messages I already checked on my computer thinking they are new ones.
I'm trying to make it so, ideally, when I delete my messages from either program they are archived (or, if necessary, entirely deleted) on the Gmail account and not listed as new.
Any method of alleviating this problem is welcome. Thanks!
