I've had my ipod 30 gb video for about 6 months now, got it off ebay with no warranty, i dropped it and every since it's been slow and freezing frequently. if i try to change a song while one is playing, it takes a while for it to let me go back to the browsing. also some songs just don't work. i restored it back to default settings by itunes, and now when i connect the ipod to synch back my songs, it says unknown error. does this sound like a hard drive problem? hopefully it is because the ipods practically flawless cosmetically. thanks to anyone who can help.

updated: restored it, but now when i connect my ipdo to my laptop, itunes opens up, then windows goes into dos mode and says it says to shut down to prevent damage to my computer. is my ipod totally ruined or is it just the harrdrive? i can browse finally with the ipod turned on, just nothing on it now.
Perhaps don't post this in the iPod touch forum. Move it over to the Classic / 5.5 G forum

It sounds like dropping it physically damaged your iPod. Since you are now able to turn it on and browse its content, try syncing your media back to it. If that doesn't work then you will definitely need a new hard drive for your iPod.
You might want to post this in the actual iPod classic/5G/5.5G section though as this is for discussion of the iPod touch.
