1.1.4 Update sound is better

I updated to 1.1.4 and turned on one of my favorite podcast yesterday and it sounded better than usual. Ira Glass (This American Life if you’re a fan) always tended to have a low voice inflection, but sounded clear and crisp. Thought I was imagining this at first, so I went through the paces today with some of my more familiar music and an audiobook I have listening to. I can now hear more of the highs, the detail of acoustic music is much clearer and the audiobook sounded better too. My car setup is very simple with a tape deck adaptor and the touch equalizer turned off as I’ve found this basically useless, so I was really suprised that the sound was noticedly better.

I have been watching posts and have not seen any mention of this in the forum, but know I’m not totally crazy or deaf yet. Has anyone else noticed a marked improvement? I’ve liked the touch so far but was initially disappointed with the sound output until now.

It certainly seems nice and clear, but how much? I dunno. My headphones are very very good so I didnt think much of sound issues

Well, given my meager tape deck, it did sound better. Also sounded pretty good with the bose sounddock.

1.1.4 did in fact improve the noise..I hooked it to my Bose Dock instead of hearing static when it was off it was clear and the music was much better as well.

Highly recommend this update.

It does sound better through my earphones, but haven't really noticed a different through my dock.
