time display

Quick question. How do I get my ipod touch to NOT display the current time. With my nano (first gen), I was able to turn off this feature.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes when I can't sleep, I don't want to know what time it is. Makes me tired to know how much sleep I've missed out on. Stupid psychological thing...

How is chastising pacific808 helping in any way? I think it's obvious he or she uses their iPod because they can't sleep, not the other way around...

Anyway, your reason for the issue with the always-visible clock makes complete sense to me, pacific808. My brain won't even let me take a quick nap if i know i have to do something within the next three hours...

Interesting problem ... when I can't fall asleep, I often use the iPod to browse needless websites. Eventually I get just sleepy and fall asleep ... the time display doesn't bother me. Sorry, after reading my post you probably aren't any closer to the solution.

Blackwolf - Thanks for the suggestion, but my touch isn't jailbroken.

I guess I'll just watch tv or even read one of those, what do you call those things again? Oh yeah - books.

How about listening to some relaxing music on your iPod touch? That way you don't have to face the home screen.
