IPOD Touch or IPOD.......what can i do with no wifi

hey, im interested in purchasing an ipod, but i really do not know which to get. Touch or regular. I will be using it a lot to watch videos as well as music. Also, i am aware that the Touch has the safari, maps, and youtube. Can any of these be used if i am not in a wireless hotspot?

this may be a stupid question , but i know the touch shows the cover art of the songs you have, if you get the songs from somewhere other than the istore, what would happen

No unless you hook up your home internet with a Wifi Adapter. If you can afford it go for the 32GB iPod Touch..the screen is loads better at viewing video..but if you want massive capacity get the iPod Classic.

i can watch any videos that are in mpeg 4 format, right. they dont have to be downloaded from itunes

You're right, the videos do not have to be purchased via iTunes as long as they are in a compatible format. As for the cover art, the "default" image will show up instead of the album art work if the art work is not available - regardless of how you get the song.

ugh so many questions, just search, these questions have been answered already. Really you will get more from searching for these answers, then just asking at random, and go to the apple site, your basic questions are covered.

It doesn´t matter where you get your songs from (example if you convert them from a CD). You can edit the id3 tags of your songs, using iTunes and add an Album Art and it will be displayed exactly the same way as for songs purchased on iTunes. Any image in Gif, Jpeg or bmp format will be accepted.

Also if you have an iTunes account you can use iTunes itself to find the cover art for your songs,even those songs you did not buy form iTunes. All you have to do is make sure that the Album, and Singer information for the song are filled correctly, then select the song (or songs) in iTunes, right click on choose in the menu the "Find COver art" option.

without wifi, there's no internet/wifi store/youtube obviously.
but you still have the 3.5 inch screen for watching your videos, or ya know...listen to your music *gasp*

but not much, basically its a 8,16,32 gig ipod with a big touch screen.

Go over to Newegg or TigerDirect - you can get an 802.11g router for as little as $30 at times... That's all you really need...
