Microphone, Notepad and just WOW!!

Unbelievable gadget. Thousands of tracks, playlists, transferred movies, audiobooks, ripped DVDs and audio CDs, podcasts and god knows what else. Wifi access instant - how slow was it to warm up the laptop! My iGoogle home page with email and Google Docs work fine (can't write on the spreadsheet, though). My first iPod, too.

Anyway. Can I add a microphone and/or get a Notepad app for the touch?
I bought mine AFTER Feb 8 but it didn't have the new apps on it (I don't know if they would give it for free??).
Any ideas, please?

Contact Apple for the new apps - I think they may give them to you (at least those were some of the claims). Otherwise, pony up the $20 and pick 'em up.

As for the mic, there is a group of hackers who've setup a mic through the dock port. Might try to search around for more on it...
