Won't Turn Off

Has anybody else experienced problems with the on / off button on their 16gb touch?

I have only had mine for about 8 weeks adn it has suddenly gone completely crazy adn as soon as you turn it off it turns itself back on again - is this a reoccurring problem?

restore it and if the problem persists you have hardware-problem and should return your touch to apple to get a new one

I've never had a problem with the sleep.wake button.

The only thing is that it got stuck inside.

Mac replaced my iPod for free (under the Manufacturer's Warranty).

I love the fact that you just hold the sleep/wake button and slide to turn off.

Because on the other iPods, holding the Play/Pause button didn't always work.

My sleep/shut down button did not work after i bought my Touch. It wouldn't sleep or turn off and I had to hold it down really hard and wait really long just to get it to sleep. I did a full restore and now the button works fine.
