hey i'm new here and i just wanted to know if there was a way to trade in a 16gb touch for the 32 gig one at the apple store. i bought it 2 weeks before the 32 gig came out because i didn't know that that the bigger one was coming out. i need more room and was wondering if i could put my old touch toward a new 32 gig or does the apple sotre let u sell it to them or what? what are my options? thanks
p.s. i got it from amazon for my birthday so i can't take it back to any store.

You may have had a chance of being able to exchange it if you went back as soon as the 32GB was released, but it's going on three weeks now. You will either have to sell your 16GB or just go out and buy the 32GB.

When was it purchased from amazon? You can return stuff to amazon within 30 days including ipods. The only thing you'll have to pay will be the cost of shipping both ways. I returned some headphones I didn't like once and their return process is pretty easy. It's almost as simple as walking into a store, don't be afraid to try it.
If you're out of that 30 days window then your best bet is to sell it on ebay, take a hit on the loss and then order the 32gb Ipod Touch. Right now Amazon is having a promotion where you get a free 1gb Ipod Shuffle when you purchase a 32gb. The only thing I don't know is if that affects the 30 day price guarantee. I did call them but I couldn't get a clear answer, its like talking to a robot. And their emailing isn't any better.
