View Full Version : 32GB iPod Touch Auto Brightness
no longer working. Stays at full brightness even when in a completely dark room. Naturally I have loaded all my contacts, music, and, etc. Since it has crashed 3 times on top of the auto brightness issue.
The details: Brightness is set @ 50%, the auto brightness is set to on. When the iPod is first turned on in a dimly lit room the screen is dimmed and when the room lighting increases the iPod brightens, BUT... when the room lighting darkens the iPod remains at full brightness (does not dim).

Why use this auto feature, it's a battery killer anyway. I suppose there maybe something blocking it though, a case, screen guard? Did you restore? And crashing is sometimes and issue, such a small amount of RAM will do that from what other users here say.(not an expert, just taken from what others have said).

I do have a iSkin case on it, but the sensor is not covered. The factory plastic is also still covering the screen.

Factory plastic, isnt that still bubbly??? Why not try taking that really crappy factory screen protector off, and if you're concerned over the screen, pony up the moolah(cabbage, bread, aka money) to a power support or invisbile shield. I am sure the crappiness of that factory plastic does it no good.....i am sure taking that off will do the job! :)

No bubbles, not a one. iSkin comes with a screen protector that must be installed.
