Songs in Albums - play in order??

Hi all. :) How do I keep songs within my albums from shuffling? I want to play certain songs in the order they were intended on the album, but the Touch keeps playing them out of order regardless. I can't seem to find a setting to stop this from happening. Can anyone please advise? Thank you!

you have to set the track number tag for your songs in itunes and then sync it to your ipod. the ipod should then play it in that order

Similar question as well...how do you tag the albums to play list the albums in order? I've got some "B" artists next to some "Y" artists...if you understand that. Most artists are in order, the biggest problem appears when I turn it side ways looking through the albums.

How do I keep songs within my albums from shuffling?Easy, turn the shuffle setting off. While playing, tap the artwork once -- the criss-cross arrows next to the right of the time bar indicate whether shuffle is ON (if they are blue) or OFF (if they are white).

Most artists are in order, the biggest problem appears when I turn it side ways looking through the albums.Sounds like you have inconsistent use of the Album Artist field of your tags. Make sure that Album Artist is the same for all songs by an Artist, or simply clear the Album Artist field if you don't want that. The Album Artist is typically used for Compilation albums, where the Artist field varies for each song on the album but the Album Artist is the main artist common to all songs on the album.

the artists are normally sorted alphabetically. there are some exceptions from that though:

for example "The Who" will not be listed unter "T" but rather it will listed under "W". the ipod ignores some prefixes like the, a, an and stuff like that.

in coverflow you will have your compilations listed at the end. so in coverflow you first have your artist sorted alphabetically and after that you have your compilations (since they are actually various artists and therefor cannot be sorted together with the other albums)
