(I already posted this in the Classic forum but it's probably the wrong place)

I mainly use my iPod at work and in the car but I use my home computer to sync it and add new music as well as any purchased games since I can't download the games at work.

However, I use iTunes at work to subscribe to Podcasts and copy them to my iPod but to do this I have to switch it from auto sync to manual mode whenever I'm at work.

The problem arises whenever I attach my iPod to my work computer and sync the Podcasts to it, after doing so when I try to play a purchases game my iPod tells me I can't play the game and will need to re-sync it from iTunes.

If I do so from my WORK computer and then try to play a game, specifically Peggle, all my saved games are gone and I have to start from scratch

I guess my real question is, is there some way to back up not the actual game (I've done that) but the saved games, and how then would I restore them to the iPod? Or am I just doing something wrong?

Do both libraries match on work & home PC's that your auto sync'ing with? Make sure that they do or put the iPod on "manually manage music/videos". Manual mode will prevent any changes to the iPod when connected to the PC automatically. You will need to add/remove manually.

You should go to the "My Computer" folder, then click on your iPod. You may have to do something in iTunes so it shows up. Then click "ipod_Control" and then "gamestats.WO". Inside that folder will be multiple folders containing saved games for all the games on your iPod. Since these folders are numbered randomly, there is no way to know which folder goes to which game. Just copy them all. When you want to restore the saved games, paste these folders into the "gamestats_WO" folder.
