I love my new green iPod mini! The case is pretty tough, and seems to be pretty scratch resistant. I'm am a little concerned about the screen though, since the mini goes in my pocket along with change and keys.
Does anyone recommend any particular screen protectors? Something like a plastic film you can stick to the screen?
I'm not really looking into any cases as of yet, but this may change if the right one comes along.
Thanks!

I hear that PDA screen protectors work well.
*EDIT* You would have to shape the protector by cutting it down to the size of the screen (sharp scissors would do).

Does anyone know if this obscures the display at all, or makes it any less readable?
Thanks.
The PDA protectors do not obscure the screen at all and they work very well.

anyone know of a good place to get these cheap? $15 at staples seems to be a bit expensive for a peice of plastic.

I just went to CVS and bought some Scotch Photo Laminating Sheets (http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/en001/government/innovative_solutions/node_5FHV7M1H3Kgs/root_GS3RBW6QFVgv/vroot_31S2JJ7584ge/bgel_C8804N05H4bl/gvel_JD5T6JSQQRgl/theme_us_innovativesolutions_3_0/command_AbcPageHandler/output_html). It comes with 5 sheets and each sheet will make 6 covers for the ipod mini screen. Thats 30 screens for $1.99 plus tax. Not bad, eh?

With that, I could laminate my whole mini for the ultimate protection! :D

I use something called Frisket Film, which you can buy from art stores (it's a transparent sheet that's used to protect photo's, pictures, etc... when airbrushing).
It's alot more clearer than PDA screen protectors, and doesnt leave any residue.
