i have been trying for a long time to get songs from my computer onto my grandmother's new iphone and i cannot seem to get them on. I would have to erase the iphone to get the songs on there. is there a way to put songs on to an iphone using a third party computer (i guess) without destroying everything? and why is there no drag and drop?!?!?!
can someone please help?

there is drag and drop. In iTunes 7.6 you can manage songs manually. Not sure if you can use different computers but ive been able to get songs from multiple computers with my ipod's

I'm running iTunes 7.6 and I can't drag and drop to my iPhone.
Can you authorise a computer, sync the songs from it then de-authorise it........you know, just hypothetically speaking of course.

I haven't tried to manually do it but I'll switch to manual in a bit
ok just switched to manage manually and it wasn't a problem. Just picked up an album and dropped it onto the iPhone and it transfered. I'll hook up to my girlfriends laptop as soon as she wakes up and try it on there.

I have two computers set to manually manage music. On my Mac, I can drag and drop the music like normal. If I take that same iPhone to my Windows laptop and set it to manually manage music. I then get the popup that tells me I can only manage music on one computer and would I like to erase and sync to this library instead. This is so that you can't share other peoples music that you haven't paid for. You can however sync data between two computers such as calendar and contacts, just not music.
