I just bought iMuffs and want to use them with the iPhone. For the record, no noise cancellation, and you have to use the adapter like you would with an iPod. Other than that, they seem decent.

But I read somewhere that if auto-lock is enabled, music will stop playing. I'd like to keep the password after 15 minutes but I'd like to avoid this auto-lock problem. Is this possible? Or does password lock do the same thing auto-lock does and it just takes longer?

Thanks ahead for any help.

That's not true. If the iphone is continuesly performing a task, such as playing music or video, it will never lock. On playing music it will dim the screen, but will not lock unless you lock it manually.

First of all, if you're not going to answer my question, I'd rather you not post in response.

And you're wrong. It has something to do with power to the bluetooth headset. That if auto-lock is enabled, once it activates, it cuts off power to Bluetooth so you lose sound in the bluetooth headphones.

I see you became a senior member based on quantity, not necessarily quality of posts. Anyone who can help and not be a jackass about it would be appreciated.

Over a year later I have noticed the exact same problem with my Iphone 3G. I am using Motorola s805 bluetooth headphones and when the Iphone activates Auto-Lock, or I lock the phone using the power button on the top of the phone, the connection is lost. When I set the Iphone to Never activate Auto-Lock the music plays continuously.

I would also like a solution to this issue or a work around that would allow me to have the screen locked, conserving power and not being sensitive to touch in my pocket, while still playing music via bluetooth?

Cheers.

#EDIT: oops, wrong post!

...after checking out some other forums I have found a bit of a work around to the issue. If you switch off Wi-Fi on the iPhone 3G, the phone can Auto-Lock or Lock and the music will continue playing through Bluetooth headphones. Weird?

#EDIT: More evidence to show Wi-Fi - Bluetooth interference here (http://www.tuaw.com/2009/07/15/bluetooth-another-wi-fi-killer/)
