Ipod touch in Paris

Does anyone know how well the maps work there. I'm heading to France in a month and would love an excuse to pick up the new 32 gb touch but I think it would only be worth it if Wifi was good enough to access the google maps I made and to use the GPS. Any help is really appreciated.

FYI - the iPod Touch doesn't have a GPS. It relies on data about the wireless access point to provide you with a very rough location...

+1 But they do a pretty darn good job...making you think its GPS :P
