Hi People, I Have Just Been Bought An Apple I Phone From America, I Am Currently Pay As You Go With 02, Does The American Phones Need To Be Unlocked To Accept 02 Sims. I Have An I Pod That Was Bought From Japan And No Problems But I Understand That Because It Is An I Phone They Might Be Sim Locked.
Please Help

You will need to jailbreak the phone to bypass the activation, but I don't see why an O2 SIM shouldn't work without unlocking. I have an O2 pay-as-you-go SIM but have never actually tried it unlocked as I have T-Mobile with web-n-walk. Don't quote me on that though. Pre-1.1.2 phones are not hard to jailbreak and unlock, I have heard post-1.1.2 phones are harder to hack because they have a more recent bootloader.
