Hey Guys,

I just got my iPod touch (brand new) about 4 days ago. It is now jailbroken and has third party apps installed.

How many hours (approx) are you guys getting on your touch? Are you getting anywhere close to the claimed 22/5 hours?

I installed a battery monitor app on my touch, and from a full charge, the battery drained 20% in about 2 hours. All I did was during those 2 hours was listen to about 5 songs, watch one 3 minute video, and the rest of the time was spent installing and looking at apps.

Also, my brightness is way turned down also.

Is this normal? It seems like it is going really fast!

I would guess you have wifi turned on. with wifi on your battery gets sucked in 3 hours or so.

when listening to music only you should get 22 hours or more. if you play around and the display is on a lot it could decrease down to 10 hours or something around that.

Installing and looking at apps is what killed it. Using Wi-Fi burns battery like nothing else...

Have yet had to charge my 32GB with Wi-Fi on. Use so far = 3-4 hours.

You're never going to get 22 hours unless ou leave the display off and repeat the same songs without switching anything. That's only with battery test. For example my 80GB is estimated at 20 hours, in the battery test (backlight off, one playlist repeating) I got 23 hours, however with normal usage like switching albums, even with the backlight almost set to the lowest setting and 2 seconds, I get 13-14 1/2 hours.

What kind of battery life are you guys getting when playing video only? They claim five hours. Is that accurate?
