Your better off going with Apples extended Warranty, first of all it dosen't matter where you purchased your iPod, you can purchase it anytime up to the year that your Warranty expires, it's better than Best Buy's if you live locally to an Apple Store because they will swap it out on the spot if they can't fix it right there, and Best Buy sales guys will tell you you can replace it in the store, they DON'T tell you that you have to have them send it out for 2 weeks 3 times for the same problem to their service center before you can replace it. I learned my lesson once with Best Buy.
