My cat knocked my iPhone off the dresser last night and put a small dent in the top of it by the power button. The power button was stuck down because of it. I took it to the apple store hoping for bit not expecting some sypathy. I didnt get it. The genius said it voided the warranty, but for $200 he would exchange it as a nonwarranty exchange. I told him since my warranty is already gone I'd take it apart and fix it. He told me as I was leaving " I'll be seeing you in the next few days". It sucks that I dont want to make the driive to see his face on my now working iPhone. I'm typing this on it now.

no pics sorry. # 1 concern was getting the mofo working. I do not wish a disassembly on anyone, although it was nice getting into the guts of something again. Haven't messed with the insides of somthing since I resoldered my xboxs power supply and threw a new hard drive in a few months back.

I say call the douche bag "genius" from your now-working iPhone. Pics woulda been nice, but I understand they weren't gonna be a priority. Well done!

I won't knock the geniuses they've help me out plenty of times and it was my fault. I just didnt like that he was so certain that I wouldn't be able to fix it myself and if I got his name I would call him. He just isn't worth driving to brea over and fighting the mall parking.

I know, I dont get advice from them. Just help getting things replaced when they break
