Ok when I listen to a song on my iPod touch the bass is making the earphones make a noise like it can't handle the bass. I have the EQ at none but now I even changed it to Bass Reducer. But even if I put Bass Reducer, if the song is loud it will make the noise like the earphones can't handle it.

But when I put my earphones in the speakers of my computer the bass is great. I just put Bass Booster and it's great through my earphones.

Is there something wrong with my iPod touch?

These are the earphones I use:

Sony MDR-E828LP Fontopia Earbuds with Winding Case (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-E828LP-Fontopia-Earbuds-Winding/dp/B00008VF63/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1202679086&sr=8-5)

strange.
the ipod is known to have some problems with the bass, but only if you turn EQ on. if you EQ is off or bass reducer or something like that, you shouldn't experience something like that.

if you can get your hands on another pair of headphones try again, for example with the ones apple sent with the ipod (even though they suck). if it still is distorted then visit a apple store and ask for a new one

Nevermind.

I just tried to use them on my iPod touch again and they work perfectly.

These earphones are crazy. LOL

Do you know of any earphones that are durable and have great bass?

sorry, nope, I'm searching for some headphones that work well with the touch myself.
