As there so many posts in so many forums out there advising various jailbreak methods, I am thoroughly confused. I was ready to do the hackint0sh method; here http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28612, and discovered that it was set-up for those who had not already activated their phones with ATT.

So my question is where do I start with a phone that has been activated, and is 1.1.3?

Thanks

So your iPhone came out of the box with 1.1.3? To get third-party apps on the iPhone if you have a 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 OTB iPhone then you will need to firstly downgrade the bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9. I believe their is software to do this now. You used to have to take the iPhone physically apart.

It is best going over the the ModMyiFone forums. That is the best place to go for everything iPhone. If you have a 1.1.3 or 1.1.2 OTB iPhone and you are an AT&T customer then my advice would be not to bother. There are rumours that Apple are releasing the SDK soon for official third-party apps. Messing with your phone could lead to it breaking and voiding your warranty.

No actually it was 1.1.2 out of the box. I upgraded when 1.1.3 was released.
