Hi All,
Have had my Ipod touch since Oct (50th b-day present), Only recently have I had to restore it. I have had to restore it twice in as many days.
The battery gets to 20% warning screen I then plug it in to recharge(using AC adapter) nothing happens the Apple screen does not appear, so it's upstairs to the iMac for restoration time. It is an 8BG with the latest firmware and the extra 20 $ apps. I am running the latest iTunes on my iMac G5 as well.
Any ideas as to the frequency of having to restore so much lately, does the low battery have anything to do with it???
Any ideas and or help is greatly apprecieated.
Thnx

ok so just to be sure I unstood you: every time your ipods battery gets low and you want to charge it it doesn't charge and you have to restore it to get it to charge? is that correct?

if so there is something very very wrong with your ipod and you should return it to get a new one.

you say you are using an AC adapter. does your ipod charge when you plug it into your mac? in that case you might just have a broken ac.

regards

PS: I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the apple screen does not appear" ... the apple screen is not supposed to appear unless you start your ipod after shutting it down completly. if you plug in your ipod to your ac charger you should get a little bolt on the battery-icon in the top right, that's all. if your ipod is turned off and you plug it in NOTHING is supposed to happen. it will charge quitely.
