iPod touch internet filter program

I was recently looking into getting an itouch for my son. We will most likely be jailbreaking it once we get it, but I had a question about the internet feature. Are there any internet porn filter programs available that will work on a jailbroken itouch? Thanks for any responses.

Unfortunately, no there isn't at this time :( All you could really do would be to yank Safari entirely (which you could if you jailbreak).

I can't think of the name of it, but there is a box / service that you can connect to your network to acheive what you are looking for. I listen to Leo Laport's Tech guy radio show / podcast and he tends to mention it at least once a month. I'll try to search it out and post back here about it.

I found it! You may want to look into this.. Bare in mind this won't do you any good outside of your home though. However this is the closest thing to getting what you are looking for..

A friend forwarded this to me. Apple has approved some internet filtering browsers on the App Store. Mobicip(dot)com is one of them. It has a free safe browser for kids.

safe eyes mobile. safe eyes is a well known content filter. safe eyes created safe eyes mobile. I don't have safe eyes mobile but I have safe eyes for the computer and it works great. the only downside is that it is $20.

Set your wireless router to use OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/) as its dns server.

It's free, and works well. Won't have any effect while connected to other networks though.
